Single cam zc???

I just sold my b16 eg hatch for $5200 and i picked up a 89 crx si for $1500. The crx interior is flawless but there are a few small rust spots on the outside. It has a single cam zc motor. I was unaware there was such a thing. Well anyhow I have $4000 for a new motor.....any suggestions? Also the single cam zc has about 40k on it and it will be collecting dust in my garage unless you guys think there is anyone out there that looks for these things. Also what kind of power do they put out?

88-91 Civic,CRX,Si, SOHC ZC/D16A6
1.6 liter
108 bhp @ 6000
Redline: 7100 RPM
Too bad it's not the VTEC SOHC D16Z6
I would have took that off your hands! BTW, SCCA, IHRA or Street? (Factors to be considered)

Supercharged B16A: That would be my suggestion for all around performance. Good luck!

yeah if ur gonna use it more for autox, i'd go with a CTR or hybrid the b16a. also if u got the hook ups on a used supercharger that will be nice too. coz it will kill ur budget if bought new.

if its an sohc zc it ois the d16z6, sohc vtec...this motor has lots of potential and puts the b16 to shame...time after time ive seen these motors with simply bolt ons embarrass those $2,000 b16's, including one of my crx's. ive got a couple freinds who have ran high 14's without forced induction...now if you have the stock si motor a d16a6 this is a diferent story, but the sohc zc is rfferd to z6, which is a very good motor, and with 40k miles ide keep it for sure.

^^^^In other words,
D16Z6 SOHC= VTEC (125hp)
D16A6 SOHC= Non VTEC (108hp)

(Temporary Answer)
I'm not quite sure if a DOHC head will fit on a SOHC block. It just doesn't sound logical. Plus I wouldn't think the SOHC block would be able to handle DOHC capabilities. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
If you're looking for more HP, you could easily just do a VTEC ZC SOHC head swap(d16z6) (if what you have is the d16a6)or if it's torque you're after, then a Turbo SOHC or DOHC VTEC swap is the way to go.

I'm researching this issue as we speak. I'll get back to you as soon as I know for sure.

Okay, after doing some research, I've came up with some info:
will a DOHC head fit on a SOHC block/
SOHC head on ZC block
DOHC head on SOHC block
DOHC zc head on SOHC zc block??
dohc head on sohc block
dohc head on a sohc block???
DOHC head on SOHC block...???

Hope this helps.
